personal recount
I knocked off from work after an exhausting day. I decided to take a short-cut that was an almost deserted one, even though my instincts warned me that something unpredictable was going to happen. I drove steathily yet fast on the quiet and peaceful road. Suddenly, something blue at the side of the road caught my eye. This time, I drove very very slowly towards the blue thing. When I finally came close enough to see what it was, I was shocked and quickly call the police. There, was 4 semi-concious young men, no more that 30, howling in agony beside their crushed, smashed and wrekked blue mazda. The peramedics put the bodies on the stretcher and left, leaving the police officers behind to take my statement. I said all I knew and then I was free to go. I gave the 'Straits Times' the picture that I took earlier on, so that they could publish it. ( and anyway, 'Straits Times' is always my favourite newspaper to read, since the past 10 years) I drove home feeling exhausted, yet satisfied, as i had done a good deed, saving 4 yong lives...
