I was heading home at around 1p.m. after work, wishing for a long nap in my house. Driving along Yishun Avenue 1, i suddenly spotted a badly crushed Blue Mazda RX-8 lying on the side of a hill. The almost-new Mazda had flipped over a guardrail and flew up into the air onto the hill. I took a picture of the mangled wreck and sent it to the Straits Times portal Stomp after calling the police and ambulance. They arrived within minutes and gave the passengers a quick check-up. Fortunately, the four men travelling in the car had escaped with only minor injuries to their faces and shoulders. I shudder to think of what would have happened if the men were less careful. I felt very relieved as they would certainly be in a worse state if I had not turned up and helped them. Young drivers who are in their early 20s should be more careful as many of them lose their lives due to road accidents. Fooling around on the roads is definitely not encouraged and road safety measures should be followed at all times as you do not know when an accident may happen.
